
System of A Run Highlights Running Course
We are excited to host Chris Johnson, DPT at Therapydia Portland for his System of a Run Highlights event! Chris is a certified triathlon coach (ITCA), three-time All American triathlete, two time Kona Qualifier, and is currently ranked 16th (AG) in the country for long course racing. Chris is also extensively published in the medical literature and has a monthly column on Ironman and an elaborate YouTube channel.
During this 1-day course, you will develop a framework to manage runners dealing with pain and/or injury, and return them to consistent training in a timely manner. This small group course will be capped at 15 participants. First come first service – claim your spot today!

• Bio-psycho-social model of pain
• Mind styles
• Basic concepts of motivational interviewing as it related to running
• Incidence and risk factors for running related injuries (RRIs)
• Orthopedic evaluation, screen and running specific assessments
• Various exercises ranging from motor control drills, strengthening, compound movements as well as power and plyometric drills
• Role of manual therapy as it relates to the running rehab process
• Demystifying treadmill analysis
• Footwear considerations
