Move Better With Therapydia

Pediatric Physical Therapy can be a key component of your child’s recovery and development of age-appropriate gross motor skills. Working with a physical therapist will help your child explore their environment, while building the strength, balance and coordination necessary to play and learn at home and school.

Our Approach

Therapydia’s pediatric physical therapy is multifaceted. We will address your child’s current difficulties and promote a lifetime of health, wellness and tools for injury prevention. We work together with you and your pediatrician to help promote optimal function and ongoing health, wellness and fitness for you and your child.

Based on the information obtained from the evaluation, your PT will create a treatment plan consisting of parent education, facilitated play and manual therapy, if appropriate, to specifically address your child’s needs and goals.

We Care About Patient Satisfaction

Therapydia physical therapists are chosen through a selective screening process. Every physical therapist has extensive clinical experience, is highly trained in a variety of wellness practices and is driven by patient outcomes.

Sabrina Seraj-Villnaueva, DPT values continuing education and has attended several courses in specialized manual therapy techniques and movement science principles to advance her skills in the treatment of movement dysfunctions. Sabrina is an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Credentialed Clinical Instructor and Kinesio Taping Association (KTA) Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner. She is also trained in and practices the use of The Graston Technique®, a patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively detect and treat scar tissue and other soft tissue restrictions that affect normal function. Sabrina enjoys staying active in dance, yoga, Pilates and hiking.

Emily Melzer, DPT grew up in North Central Oregon, where she spent her summers harvesting wheat on her father’s ranch. Emily received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon and then continued on to Portland, Maine where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of New England in 2014. Emily spent the first year of her career working at an Outpatient Orthopedic PT Clinic in San Francisco, California where she gained experience with a diverse patient population including those with postural dysfunction due to sedentary jobs, patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, weekend warriors and marathon runners with chronic injuries. Emily recently attended the San Francisco Giants Sports Medicine conference in 2015 where she learned effective techniques to treat the active patient population.

Tony D’Obivido received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University in 2014. While studying, he also worked as a strength and conditioning coach for club sports teams including rugby, ice hockey, and volleyball as well as both the Army and Navy ROTC and individuals of myriad fitness levels. Passionate about continued learning and providing optimal care for patients, Tony completed a Manual Therapy Certificate (MTC) program in 2017, and has continued to develop his hands-on skills in a manual therapy fellowship program starting in 2018. In addition to his experience as a strength and conditioning coach, he is also a certified Olympic Weightlifting coach through USA Weightlifting. His clinical philosophy revolves around strong patient communication and education, expert manual therapy skills, and the prescription of exercise for both rehabilitation and performance. He particularly enjoys working with active individuals and promoting long-term health and fitness through an intelligent approach to training.
